Where they started

Our client makes precision products for customers in many countries. The engineering was excellent. Google just wasn't showing it.

Looking at the same three months a year earlier, the site averaged position 42.4, which is around page five. Almost nobody clicks that far down, and for a company whose buyers are engineers and procurement teams comparing suppliers, being on page five is close to being invisible.

The goal was bigger than one market. We needed to reach buyers near the workshop, across the home country, and in the overseas markets they ship to. Each of those searches looks different.

What we did

We ran six workstreams together, so each one made the others work harder.

  • Technical foundation

We checked how Google crawls and indexes the site, then fixed speed, mobile usability and site structure so every service page could be found and understood.

  • On-page optimization

We rewrote titles, descriptions, headings and internal links around the terms buyers actually use: processes, materials and the industries they serve.

  • Content

We built service and industry pages, plus technical content that answers the questions engineers ask and shows real manufacturing depth.

  • Authority and links

We earned relevant backlinks from credible industry sources, which strengthened the site's standing on competitive searches.

  • Local and national reach

We optimized for location-based searches and established the brand in its home market first.

  • International reach

We structured the site and content for buyers in several countries, in line with where the company actually ships.

What happened

From page five to the top five

The move was measured in average Google position, where 1 is the top result. The site went from 42.4 to 4.8.

Average position across all searches in Google Search Console. Lower is better, and positions 1 to 10 make up page one.

Twelve months, one clear turning point

The first four to five months were quiet. That's normal: foundations take time, and Google needs time to recognise a site's improvements. From early February 2026, impressions and clicks stepped up sharply, and they've stayed at that higher level ever since.

Last year versus now

We compared the last three months with the same three months a year earlier. Impressions grew about 22 times and click-through rate about 20 times, so the site isn't only being seen more often. It's being chosen far more often. Today it earns a click roughly once in every ten appearances.

Steady demand, not a one-off spike

In the last three months, clicks and impressions rise and fall in a regular weekly rhythm. That pattern points to steady search demand from working buyers, rather than a single page catching a lucky burst of traffic.

Last 3 months: 78.7K clicks, 768K impressions, 10.3% CTR, average position 4.8.

Showing up in Google's AI features too

Search is changing, and Google now answers many questions with generative AI features. Google Search Console has a report for those, and this site appears in it. It recorded 13K impressions in the last three months, against zero in the same period last year. Over six months that adds up to 16.1K, against zero in the six months before. Daily impressions grew from roughly 100 to over 400, with a sharp rise in the most recent days.

Generative AI features report: 13K impressions in three months, from a starting point of zero.
Daily impressions climb from about 100 to over 400.
Six months: 16.1K impressions, against zero before.

Client details are withheld to protect confidentiality. All figures come from Google Search Console (web search, last 3 months against the same period a year earlier, and the last 12 months).

What this means for your business

We tell every business we work with the same things, and this project shows why.

  • Position is what pays

Moving from position 42 to under 5 turned a 0.5% click-through rate into more than 10%. Clicks follow rankings, so every step up matters.

  • SEO compounds

The first months build the foundation and can look quiet. Once Google trusts the site, growth speeds up and holds.

  • Every market searches differently

Local, national and international buyers use different words and expect different pages. Covering all three takes a plan for each.

  • AI search is a second front

Ranking well the traditional way also earns visibility in Google's generative features, which puts you ahead of competitors who haven't started.

Questions people ask

How long does it take to see results?

It depends on your starting point and how competitive your market is. In this project, the first four to five months were a build phase with low, flat numbers. From early February 2026, impressions and clicks stepped up sharply and have stayed high since. After the consultation, we'll give you a realistic timeline for your own site.

What happens in the free consultation?

It's a free 15-minute call. We learn about your business and who you want to be found by, look at where your site stands today, and show you where the biggest opportunities are and what we'd tackle first.

Do you work with my type of business?

Rankvi is a specialized agency. We help chauffeur companies, CNC manufacturers, roofing and remodeling contractors, and mobile bartenders get found by buyers who are ready to purchase. If you're in another industry, tell us about it and we'll be straight with you about whether we're a good fit.

Can you help me get found locally, nationally and internationally?

Yes. The project in this case study covered all three. Local, national and international buyers search with different words and expect different pages, so each level gets its own plan inside one overall strategy.

What do average position and click-through rate mean?

Average position is where your site typically appears in Google's results, where 1 is the top. Click-through rate (CTR) is the share of those appearances that turn into a click. In this case, moving from position 42.4 to 4.8 lifted CTR from 0.5% to 10.3%.

Will SEO help me show up in Google's AI features?

It can. A year ago this site had zero impressions in Google's generative AI features, and in the last three months it recorded 13K, while also ranking strongly in regular results. Results vary by site and topic, and nobody controls what Google's AI shows, but strong foundations and genuinely useful content give you the best chance.

Can you guarantee rankings or traffic?

No honest agency can promise a specific ranking, because Google controls the results. What we do is build a clear strategy around the buyers who are ready to purchase, and measure it against real data, like the Google Search Console figures on this page.
